Lenore McKenna, Charleston Area CDC’s Executive Director, has been recommended by Wachovia for the first annual Chairman’s Award Program, an initiative in which FDIC Chairman Sheila Bair will recognize six individuals or organizations who have demonstrated excellence and innovation in financial literacy. The Chairman’s Award Program, a component of the Face Your Finances initiative, is designed to commemorate the FDIC’s 75th anniversary and to reinforce the agency’s commitment to financial education and helping consumers use financial services effectively.
